Cardiac Rehabilitation
Strengthening Hearts
The cardiac rehabilitation department at Reeves Regional Health provides exercise and education for patients with heart disorders or for those recovering from heart-related illnesses or surgery.
To enter the cardiac rehab program, patients must have a referral from their physician and a qualifying diagnosis, such as myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), coronary angioplasty/stenting, heart valve repair/replacement, or stable angina.
Cardiac-monitored exercise sessions are provided on equipment, such as a treadmill, arm ergometer, and recumbent stepper. We also perform cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function testing, and holter monitoring.
Our goal is to restore patients to their optimal physiological, psychological, social, vocational, and emotional status.
